Knocking some rust off in 1v1s and this guy was a good player, resulting in some flying I think we can all learn a bit from. Sorry there is no HUD, I used in game recordings. If you are wondering, Flap usage - none, Stabilizer - 0-20% (positive).

How does it feel compared to a Dora or Kurfürst?
it's more maneuverable but slower (where it matters below 8km)
@@Krupnski does it have any other good qualities beside maneuverability? It seems to dive worse and climb worse
@@thomaszhang3101 Not really, the main benefit is maneuverability, but it depends what your style is/how you enjoy flying. For me personally the 152 is better because I enjoy aggressive and defensive flying as you can see. D9/K4 are better if you wish to fly a bit more "safe".
@@Krupnski got it, so Ta-152 is the perfect “dogfighter”, like the “Zero”
@@thomaszhang3101 No not even that it's just all around decent with the main strength being maneuverability, it does not do anything significantly better than any other plane in the game.

Flawless flying as usual Krup. The Ta-152 looks so cool, like a ( very ) mean glider, I wish they modeled wing flex tho

sometimes it's the best or even only option to gain angles for a full reversal

This is in no way an attempt to take away from Krups goat status but the truth is that there are a lot of pilots that make a fatal mistake within 5 seconds of the merge. I'm really grateful these pilots exist because then we can have amazing moments like some of these though. In a lot of these clips, he is at a bad disadvantage and is just flying the aircraft outside of their gun sights long enough for them to make a bad mistake like tip stalling or pulling greedy shots which result in an overshoot. Patience is a virtue and calm is a superpower.
5 seconds until a fatal mistake? I can easily beat that and make a fatal mistake even quicker!
It is fun flying from a disadvantage, even purposely putting myself there sometimes xD
I'd love to have the skills necessary to put myself out of a tricky situation xD Usually I unknowingly put myself in those bad situations -.-

In the rolling scissors to the deck, it's actually a really smart move, although the spitfire hates being negative AOA so you have to be careful with that obviously with the extra nose weight. He obviously flies well, but my main criticism was that he was insanely impatient trying to get the kill and could have easily used his energy to his advantage using lag pursuit and there is absolutely nothing anybody could do to stop the inevitable kill

is dropping the gear effective in the spit? I havnet played a while but I'm always worried of getting that slow, but maybe with fewer players in the skies its not of a concern with getting shot up by a wingman?

Spectacular cut throat dogfights! You can clearly see by the way you fly you feel quite at ease in the Ta-152's cockpit even though it is brand new.

Damnnnnnnn this video is sexy AF!
It is. The thing is, at low alt it's like 70km/h slower than P-51H and F2G and a bit less vs Tempest, P-51D, Yak-3U, Yak-3VK, F4U and F8F, while at 5-6km it reaches similar speeds to all these planes with lone exception of P-51H which still outspeeds it heavily. Oh, this is not WT, but still, most of people complaining about Ta at low alt are probably WT players. Ta would be pretty good if they removed like 50% of the armor, some fuel tanks, GM-1 and introduced some weight saving here and there. That would give it pretty damn decent wing loading. Instead it's a bit sub-optimal, but in games it gets fairly good flight models for whatever reason.
It's sort of confusing because it was predominantly used at low altitude with good results. I wonder how. In the famous 1 engagement with a Tempest, it appears it was used as a turn fighter.
Irl ta 152 mostly flew without gm1 and the ho had less fuel tanks and armour if you want that configuration
@@sule.A Yeah but H0 had also lower engine power. H0 with DB603 slapped onto it would have been an absolute beast indeed. But the whole "lets use DB603 for useless Me-410" line of thinking was pretty succesful at denying the game world with high performance German late war props - only Ta-152C actually flew with this engine, but it was so overloaded with weapons and armor, it's not really a plane that would fare well in any kind of dogfight. Too bad (from gamer's perspective).

@@sule.A I've read H0 had no MW50 installation. But I guess modelling it with it wouldn't be that much unhistorical. Still DB603 on Ta-152H0 would be a good counter to late war allied props.
